There are quite a few features that make this High Pressure Sodium OR Metal Halide (just through the switch!) ballast unique. Its has been divided into to compartments - the ballast (the part that get the hottest) is in one side while the capacitor and ignitor are in the other. This design allows the capacitor and ignitor to be much cooler. Heat is what causes these parts to fail prematurely. Another feature of the Harvest Pro Elite ballast series is that the capacitor has its own access door (the EZ Cap™) in case it needs to be replaced. You don't have to open the whole ballast anymore! It runs on both 120 or 240 volts. To change simply change the included 8 foot 120 volt cord for the 240 volt cord (sold separately) and plug it in.
